Instead, they built a modest farm outside the growing city of Denver, where perseverance—not gold—became the family’s greatest treasure.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eGrowing up beneath Colorado’s endless skies, Everett developed a love for the outdoors.
